An International Love | Colliery Dam Engagement Session

These two lovely himans contacted me this winter wondering if I could capture their engagement photos for them. She is from California, he is from Nanaimo and they were planning to have a Cali wedding, but wanted to capture some images on the wonderful west coast as well.

I was so happy when the day brought rain and we were able to that perfect west coast feel in the forest and the rain. Most of you probably don't know this, but I have a soft spot for international couples and their struggles with immigration for the purpose of love. I was excited to spend time with these two and to enjoy hearing more about their story and what brought them together. The love between them was palatable and it wasn't hard to understand why they were going through all the immigration difficulties to be together <3
