A couple of weeks ago I had my 28th birthday. For the past few years, my husband and I have had a tradition of turning my birthday weekend into our first camping trip of the year and heading to the west coast. So this year, we ended up going on an adventure to the Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park and checking out some amazing old growth trees. As usual, we also had some detours and small adventures along the way to our destination. Don't forget to check out both photo galleries! Day 1 and Day 2.
Day 1: packing, exploring clear cuts, living the life of a mechanic and eating fresh oysters (payment for Logan being such a good guy) by the heat of a west coast camp fire.
Day 2: Hiking in Carmanah, discovering a random grove of old growth sitka on the way back, and eating the rest of our oysters beside an incredible lake.
